On May 24th, 2022, frontline practitioners gathered at Nano Nagle Place in Cork and online via Zoom for the Heart of Frontline Practice Seminar. This event, themed "Connecting and Relating in Diverse and Complex Settings," offered a day of intensive learning and reflection, led by experts in various aspects of frontline care and communication.
Heart of Frontline Practice, in collaboration with PSYCHED—a Healthy Cities and Counties initiative—played a pivotal role in promoting mental health and well-being in the workplace during 2021. We organised four free, two-hour virtual sessions titled 'Reflect and Engage' for workers in the private and community/voluntary sectors.
In October 2021, the Heart of Frontline Practice alliance hosted a compelling two-hour workshop led by Dr. Colm O’Connor, titled "The Role of Imagination and Compassion in Frontline Work." This virtual session, facilitated via Zoom on the 5th of October, was expertly guided by Dr. Maeve Hurley, founder and CEO of Ag Eisteacht.
On May 25th, 2021, Ireland's frontline practitioners convened online for the impactful "Reconnecting with the Heart of Frontline Practice" seminar. This virtual event provided a nourishing space for professionals across healthcare, social care, education, and the justice sector to reflect deeply on the resilience and emotional demands of their crucial roles.
The first national seminar, ‘Reconnecting with the Heart of Frontline Practice'
