Reflecting on the Heart of Frontline Practice Conference 2023: A Day of Compassion and Connection
Highlights:
- Dr. Tom A. Hutchinson delved into “Relating to Patients: Connection, Awareness, Relationships, Engagement,” sharing insights from his extensive experience in whole person care at McGill University.
- Dr. Naomi Masheti and Fionnula O’Connell from the Cork Migrant Centre explored “Diversity & Inclusion: Breaking down Barriers Towards Empowering Real Change,” providing actionable strategies for enhancing inclusivity.
- Marianne Adams discussed “Cultivating Presence,” leveraging her deep expertise as a senior art therapist to enhance interaction with children and youth.
We hope to stimulate a national conversation about the reality of working in frontline practice and to highlight the need for more reflective spaces to support those working in frontline roles.
